Birds

When discussing what to blog about with others one suggestion (from Angela) was to blog about my recent encounters with birds. My first encounter came as Angela was going to cut my hair on the porch of the girls apartment. A pigeon had apparently had decided to set up camp in Amber's plant. I remember Amber talking about a bird making a nest in her plant but I had completely forgotten about it. Anyways as I was getting ready to get my hairs cut (yes I intentionally wrote hairs due to the fact that I got more than one cut) the demonic rat with wings decided to abandon ship and fly at my face. For a second I thought I was not sure what happened and thought I was going to have a heart attack. After regaining my composure and cursing the bird I finally got my hairs cut (Thank You for an outstanding hair cut again Angela).
My second encounter with birds came at work a few days later. It was my first day solo at my security job and I had forgot to bring anything to entertain me during my twelve hour shift. I was bored out of my mind and time appeared to be creeping by at a snails pace. I was sitting at the front desk and decided to watch the security cameras. As one of the cameras was doing its thing I noticed a small bird was perched right next to one of the cameras. At first I wondered if I thought I would try to scare the bird away by moving the camera around but the bird did not budge. Then I began to watch the bird and my mind began to wonder. I began to ask questions like: What kind of bird is it? Does it have a nest near by? Should I really have the camera watching a bird while it is suppose to be watching the parking lot? These questions and several others ran through my mind as I continued to watch this little bird for several minutes. Then my bird friend flew away and it was back to just sitting at the desk. While sitting at the front desk I began to wonder if the bird would be back but I did not see it again for the rest of the night. However; the next night my bird friend did return and sat in its same spot and part of me was glad to see it again.

First Blog

Well I finally created a blog after being persuaded by friends. I have never really understood why people blog or what the fascination is with blogging, but none-the-less I have caved in and joined in. The biggest concern I have with blogging is that I do not know what I would blog about or if my blog will even be interesting to those who decide to read it. I intend on giving this blog a good effort and hopefully I will be struck with inspiration and have many unique and interesting thoughts and reactions to share.
